Poem: Bloom

Poem: Bloom

The bloom fell of the rose today
I watched it as it fell.
And as the petals greyed away
I heard a distant bell.
Within each chime I felt my body
Longing for the past.
But as the music ended
I waited anxiously to cast
A soft light of my own filled with melody that rings
Fragrant, fresh, and new
With all the hope that inspiration brings.
