Find Your Own Secret Door To Which You Alone Have The Key

Find the secret path that no one’s taking to your own success. Just because everyone is rushing through a door, doesn’t mean it’s the right one for you. It’s just where a trend may be moving at that time. Instead of wasting your valuable energy following the crowd, look around calmly to discover your own secret door to which you alone have the key.

Do you remember the story of the tortoise and the hair? You may have heard me repeating the phrase, “Slow and Steady wins the race” on my radio show.  If it doesn’t ring a bell, the story accounts a race between unequal partners in which steady focus (rather than doggedness) are employed to overcome a stronger opponent.

The story concerns a Hare who ridicules a slow-moving Tortoise. Tired of the Hare’s boastful behavior, the Tortoise challenges him to a race. Right from the start, the hare leaves the tortoise behind and, confident of winning, decides to take a nap midway through the race. When the Hare finally wakes up, he finds that his competitor, crawling slowly but steadily, has arrived before him.

This same principle can be utilized to achieve your goals. It’s tempting for you to give into your own sense of panic as you see others jumping on something trending but your dreams must be built on a strong foundation or it will crumble when you try to rely on it.

Take your time to design a life that is uniquely yours and that is unique to all others. Don’t look to mimic or follow, always look to lead. Instead of being one of the many who rushed into something out of vanity, be one of the few who are doing something that is unique. Only then will you not only be successful, you will be unstoppable!
