Radio host and Musician Jacqueline Jax chats with you about Your Reaction to Roseanne Barr being cancelled after racist tweet.
The Roseanne barr sitcom was canceled only a few hours after a repugnant tweet was posted at 2:45 am in the morning. ABC Cancels The Real Roseanne show in a final decision. This is her 4th offensive tweet since the network aired her show and even though it was the #1 rated show for the network, they made an executive decision.
Barr’s racist tweet this morning about President Obama’s White House adviser Valerie Jarrett came as a shock to many.
In a statement, ABC Entertainment president Channing Dungey said, “Roseanne’s Twitter statement is abhorrent, repugnant and inconsistent with our values, and we have decided to cancel her show.”
Disney CEO Robert Iger tweeted his support of Dungey’s decision, adding, “There was only one thing to do here, and that was the right thing.”

2: Have we come to a time when an apology is not enough?
3. Are we finally in a place where people are going to be held accountable for their actions and hate speech.
4. Accountability: Are you responsible for your retweets and reposts? Is it trafficking bigotry and racism when you retweet?
5. The risk to the network facing boycotts may have been far more of a finical challenge than scrapping the show despite the second season already having been filmed.
