Ep 23 Skate to where the puck is going

Most people skate to where the puck is, I skate to where the puck is going. I’m not sure of how I learned to do this but it’s always kept me ahead of the game.

Perhaps my own intuition has played a part in it. Of course, you can’t be intuitive without having walked through fire first but all those experiences have made me resilient.

Sometimes you’ve got to move fast while you’re still young enough to go 0-60 in 6 seconds.

That’s why I’ve always stayed focused not only on what I want to accomplish but how I want to get there.

It’s an important part because you can choose to do things the long way or choose to accomplish the same results more quickly depending on your goal.

It’s not about cutting corners for me either, I think it’s more easily done when you understand what’s ahead and think it through using your experience gained from previous pursuits and challenges. That’s where having mentors is advised for beginners and why you should never be afraid to fail. I

got all my experience from trying things out and failing. I also have felt that things that didn’t work out were a blessing because they helped me find out more about myself.

Getting in touch with what I really wanted was a journey I highly recommend but you can’t be afraid of it. You’ve got to have the freedom to make mistakes and not care what people think.

Don’t be afraid to discover that what you originally wanted may not have been the right thing for you at this time. That knowledge is a true gift.

It’s what separates the winners from the losers. I mean if everything were easy, it wouldn’t be worth having nor would you value it.

I’ve recently been through the hurdle of relocating. It was a tough journey for me because I never expected to face such adversity and conflict while trying to find where I belong.

Listen to the episode today to hear the story. I think it will inspire you. Then leave me a comment below reflecting on it.

What have you been wanting to accomplish lately that seems to have become a major hurdle?
